There is a moment every founder is quietly hoping for and can never manufacture. It is not a funding round. It is not a launch. It is the moment your users start talking about your product to each other when you are not the one who started the conversation.
That happened this afternoon in our Discord. No campaign. No prompt. No ask. Just the #general channel, 21 people online, and this:
@ChatbotKing is not hoarding the toy store, he's DUMPING the whole thing into our wagon and yelling "take it all!" 😂 Best AI, every channel, voice, unified inbox, agent mode... competitors are still charging per toy and this dude is just giving away the whole aisle for free!! Never change !!!!! 🚆🧡
I have paid agencies real money for positioning statements worse than that. And then, eight minutes later, it escalated.
Somebody made a video
Not us. Not our marketing team. Kim built an AI video of the whole toy store bit, dropped it in the channel, and the reactions started stacking up.
Yay.. like the ending song.
Yeah that's what I feel like every time Ryan adds a new feature!
OMG @Kim (ACTivate AI)
Love the Video:)
Competitors charge. We keep giving.
Why the toy store line is exactly right
The bit lands because it is accurate. Most platforms in this space treat every capability as a separate line item. Voice is an add-on. Extra channels are an add-on. Agent mode is a higher tier. The unified inbox is a higher tier than that. You end up assembling a subscription stack just to run one business, and every new feature the vendor ships is another upsell email in your inbox.
We build the opposite way on purpose. When a capability ships, it ships to everybody on the plan. Voice, every channel, the unified inbox, agent mode, the MCP connector: not tiers, not add-ons, not "contact sales." The whole aisle.
🛠 The actual business reason
Feature gating optimizes for extracting more from the customers you already have. Shipping everything optimizes for those customers succeeding, telling people, and staying. One of those strategies produces a Discord thread like this one. The other produces a churn dashboard.
The charges, as filed
Somewhere in all of this a wanted poster appeared. I want to be clear that I am not contesting any of it.
For the record, the charge sheet reads:
- Disrupting outdated SaaS models
- Making AI agents too easy
- Killing third party subscription stacks
- Empowering founders to build in minutes
- Turning prompts into profit
- Automating everything, even your competition
Guilty on all six. Known aliases confirmed: #ChatbotKing, Prompt to Profit, The MCP Connector, The Automation Outlaw.
What this is really about
You cannot buy the thing that happened in that channel today. You cannot brief an agency for it or run ads at it. It only shows up when the people using your product are actually winning with it, and when the room they are in is one where sharing a win does not feel like bragging to a competitor.
That is why the Discord matters as much as the roadmap does. It is not a support queue. It is a group of founders who ship things, break things, ask the dumb question first so nobody else has to, and cheer when somebody's build goes live. New features land there before they land anywhere else, and the feedback loop between "somebody complained about this" and "this is fixed" is measured in hours.
To Kim, Lance, Greg, Barbie, and everybody else who was in #general this afternoon: thank you. You made something funnier than anything on our content calendar, and you did it for free, which is very on brand for this platform.
Never change.
